On Monday February 24th the City of Cheyenne City Council voted to unanimously approve the City of Cheyenne 2024 DDA Plan of Development. We are working to finalize the draft and post it on the City of Cheyenne Downtown Development Authority Website.

How Can You Be Involved Now?

Public Hearings.

The Plan has moved into the adoption phase, and is scheduled for the following upcoming public hearings. 

  • DDA/Planning Commission Joint Hearing |  JANUARY 21, 2025 6PM | 2101 O'Neil Ave. Room 208
  • City Council Introduction | FEBRUARY 10, 2025 5PM | 2101 O'Neil Ave
  • Public Services Commission | FEBRUARY 18, 2025 NOON | 2101 O'Neil Ave
  • City Council Final Consideration | FEBRUARY 24, 2025 5 PM | 2101 O'Neil Ave *Adopted!*

Previous Opportunities: 

  • Questionnaire #1 was open through Februrary 11th. View the results in the "Documents" tab on the righthand side of the page!
  • Visioning Events were held in early April to garner feedback on the vision for the future of downtown. View the results in the Phase 2 Summary in the "Documents" tab on the righthand side of the page!
  • Questionnaire #2 was open through May 5th. View the results in the Phase 2 Summary in the "Documents" tab on the righthand side of the page!
  • A series of three Choices events were held in June to gather feedback in-person. View the results in the Choices Events Summary in the "Documents" tab on the righthand side of the page!

The DDA Plan of Development is a comprehensive plan for downtown Cheyenne within the defined DDA area boundary. The Plan of Development includes recommendations and guidelines for the development of downtown Cheyenne.

The DDA Plan of Development is applicable to all areas within the DDA area boundary as shown in the map below. 

Yes it can! To translate the website, go to the bottom right corner of the website banner and click on the button that says "Translate". This website will also be updated with documents translated into Spanish throughout the process as well.
